Hanwha's Tuckman hits his second home run of the season...Pittsburgh's Bae walks one

Outfielder Mike Tuckman (Chicago Cubs), who played for the Korean Baseball Organization's Hanwha Eagles last year, hit his second home run of the season to lead his team to victory.

Tuckman went 1-for-5 in the leadoff spot in the lineup against the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball's 2023 World Series at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, U.S., on Sunday.

One of those hits was a game-winning solo shot. 토토사이트

Leading off the eighth inning with a 2-0 lead, Tuckman pulled a two-pitch changeup from Pittsburgh right-hander Dauri Moretta over the right field wall.

It was Tuckman's second home run of the season.

The homer extended the Cubs' lead to 3-0, and they added another run in the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Japanese outfielder Seiya Suzuki for a 4-0 victory.

After batting .289 with 12 home runs, 43 RBIs, 19 doubles and 88 runs scored for Hanwha last year, Tuckman returned to the United States after Hanwha failed to re-sign him.

Tuckman was a solid performer, but Hanwha decided they needed another big bat and brought in Brian O'Grady.

O'Grady was released after 22 games, batting .125 with no home runs and eight RBIs, while Tuckman fought his way back to the majors and became the Cubs' starting center fielder.

On the season, Tuckman is batting .295 (26-for-88) with two home runs, 14 RBIs, and an OPS of .805.

Meanwhile, Pittsburgh's Bae Ji-hwan started in the eighth spot in the lineup, going 0-for-2 with a walk and a single. 해외안전놀이터 추천

Bae's batting average dropped to .259 (50-for-193) on the season.
